The new gimp.m4 is incompatible with previous versions of this file.
It contains the following:
GIMP_DATA_DIR=`$GIMPTOOL $gimptool_args --gimpdatadir`
GIMP_PLUGIN_DIR=`$GIMPTOOL $gimptool_args --gimpplugindir`
The problem is that older versions of gimptool don't support
--gimpdatadir and --gimpplugindir -- they print the usage message on
stdout (not stderr) and the generated configure script blows up as a
result because this all results in a totally ridiculous sed command.
