Hi, compiling Gimp 1.1.26 from the tarball on Suse Linux 6.4 failed with <snip> Making all in po-plug-ins make[2]: Entering directory `/home/local/src/gimp-1.1.26/po-plug-ins' make[2]: Nothing to be done for `all'. make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/local/src/gimp-1.1.26/po-plug-ins' Making all in plug-ins/perl/po make[2]: Entering directory `/home/local/src/gimp-1.1.26/plug-ins/perl/po' make[2]: *** No rule to make target `../blib/lib/Gimp.pm', needed by `gimp-perl. pot'. Stop. make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/local/src/gimp-1.1.26/plug-ins/perl/po' make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/local/src/gimp-1.1.26' I then started the Makefile in plug-ins/perl . This one created the blib-stuff until it failed with LD_RUN_PATH="/usr/local/lib" cc -o ../blib/arch/auto/Gimp/Lib/Lib.so -L/home/local/src/gimp-1.1.26/plug-ins/perl/../../libgimp/.libs -L/home/local/src/gimp-1.1.26/plug-ins/perl/../../libgimp -lgimp -L/usr/local/lib -lglib -shared -L/usr/local/lib Lib.o /usr/i486-suse-linux/bin/ld: cannot find -lgimp collect2: ld returned 1 exit status make[1]: *** [../blib/arch/auto/Gimp/Lib/Lib.so] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/local/src/gimp-1.1.26/plug-ins/perl/Gimp' make: *** [subdirs] Error 2 After that I could run the main Makefile.
