They use softweaving exclusively for most of their printers now, and they do get "photo" quality with it (as long as you don't have a clogged jet, that is ;) Yup, even compared to Windows output, the "ultra-slow" stuff still shows less sign of microbanding or striping. This was not the same printer sample; it's conceivable that the other printer was in less than perfect condition.
