Unfortunately, 'unset ALL_LINGUAS' changes nothing...
'make validate' was working well before. This problem appeared suddenly.
I use Linux only, actually, to work with CVS. Too many problems with Linux.

Is it possible that your terminal remembers settings? You may try:
unset ALL_LINGUAS
to set any variables you exported.
