If you have one of the usual systems supporting gcc, your package
installer system should take care of those requirements when you ask for
a gcc or g++ development system. As you don't want to give any details,
it may be best to consult the resources of your system. An installation
of gcc without an IDE would not be tied to any specific text editor.
Your search engine can give you suggestions under 'gcc binary' if you
want to install on a system which doesn't include gcc support.
