As a note, when initially attempting to "join" gcc-help mailing list, it didn't seem like there was a way to actually subscribe, on the mailman page: https://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc-help/ This caused confusion (wait do I just send them an email?) and also lack of communication as I only received half of the responses to my initial query [1!] Somebody may want to look into this...
