Further to my message below:

After resolving some problems at the testing stage, my
build has now been installed, and appears to work OK.

The log file (capturing std output and std error) from "make install"
contains 124 messages like:

ranlib: file: /usr/local/ ... /4.7.2/libgcc.a(_trampoline.o) has no symbols

There were also "has no symbols" messages in the logs from
make during building.

Is it safe to ignore these messages? The compilation system
seems to be working.

	Thanks,
		Ellis

It would be nice to progress this so that it is able to be
installed.
