-flto with -g

Hi,

I am using gcc 4.6.2 20111027 (Red Hat 4.6.2-1) (GCC).

I see the following statement in the manpage:
Combining -flto with -g is currently experimental and expected to produce wrong results.

I just wonder whether the statement is still true or it is outdated.
