Checked ... and there are no such vars in place. I am testing with GCC 4.2.2 on other Solaris machines I have here and thus far .. all fail. I'll go back to GCC 4.2.1 and test .. if *that* bootstraps fine then .. well gee I don't know what that means yet. :-( Dennis Clarke
