As I understand it, I believe gcc (the C compiler of the GCC suite) is LALR.

If you want to write your own front end to GCC, you'd probably want LALR.
But that's up to you.

There's an essay called "GCC Fontend HOWTO" by Sreejith K Menon that's
pretty cool.  (You'll have to Google for it.  I don't have the URL.)

Since I'm not sure why you want to know, I'm not sure where I can point you
to get to where you want to be.
