How can I prevent a carriage return at the end of a g77 fortran "WRITE" statement? Al Miesch
From the manual (http://gcc.gnu.org/onlinedocs/gcc-3.3.3/g77/I-O.html#I%2fO):
A dollar sign at the end of an output format specification suppresses the newline at the end of the output.
