Hi I have recently built a sparc-sun-solaris2.6 X-compiler which runs on Linux and targets the solaris2.6. I am using the compiler sources from 2.95.3 which I have found to be very successful over the years for building both native & various X-compilers. I have managed to compile and run several programs without any problems. However I always seem to get the message:- /usr/local/sparc-sun-solaris2.6/bin/ld: bfd assertion fail elflink.h:3373 Should I be concerned about this message, or can I just ignore it? I am using binutils-2.10.1. Should I consider using a more up-to-date version? Which version would you recommend with 2.95.3? If you are able to help, I would be grateful to hear from you. Many thanks. Regards Phil Prentice
