Summary: proxy connection doesn\'t work

Initial Comment:
I'm working at office behind a firewall. So in order to
access internet resources I have to pass through a
firewall. I've tried to use gaim 0.73 and 0.74 to connect
to yahoo or msn IM service but I had no chance.

This bug is fixed in the most recent version of Gaim. If you are
not using the lastest version, please upgrade. If you are using
the latest version, please indicate so and reopen this bug.

Using port 80 is not helping.

with the next version, msn's http method should work
(account option), and with yahoo, changing the port from
5050 to port 80 might help

I've tested gaim 1.1.1 and is not working. I'm not able to
connect to yahoo or msn IM service using a proxy server.

msn will not work, we use a 2 port implementation of msn
protocol version 9, our 1 port implemenation, which would
work with a proxy (assuming the proxy code works), has bugs
chipx86 has not as yet been able to solve, and so is disabled.

also our proxy code is in need of some tender loving care,
which is hard for us to give it as non of us use proxies. I
have accepted one patch which will be in 0.75 that may help
some with this, but i am unsure.
