Running 1.5 in Win32 environment and Gaim seems to have
lost its assiciation with "aim:goim?screenname" links.
 What's the syntax to use in the Registry to restore
this functionality?

There is no way to do that in gaim under Windows.  There are
a number of feature requests for this already.
