Summary: Buddy Icon Size Restriction

Initial Comment:
I'm inquiring to know whether or not it is possible
increase the cap on file size with MSN or Yahoo! buddy
icons. In my understanding, 4096 bytes only applies to
the AIM/OSCAR protocol, doesn't it? It's a bit
annoying that the limit for a 48x48 image file is
applied to a significantly larger image. I apologize
in advance if there was already a discussion about
this, especially if it has already been settled. I
couldn't find anything relevant by searching. However,
in reality, this is not an important topic. I was also
not sure whether to put this in MSN or GTK-UI, or even
feature requests at all. Some clarity would be
appreciated. Thank you for your time!

yes, the 4096 bytes limitation only applies to AIM/OSCAR,
the 48x48 restriction also only applies to AIM/OSCAR

For both MSN and Yahoo! you can have anything up to 96x96,
and if you provide something larger Gaim will scale it down
for you.
