Summary: Unable to start Jabber conversation

Initial Comment:
My company runs an internal Jabber server, Wildfire.
Everything works perfectly except for one thing:

I cannot initiate a conversation with anyone else. If
they send me a message, I can then reply and all is ok
until they close the conversation. Otherwise, they see
nothing.

10 people using the server, all using Spark client
except for one person using Trillian and myself using
Gaim (beta1 and CVS). Wildfire is running on a Windows
2003 server.

Everyone else can intiate conversations with eachother
and with me, I cannot initiate with anyone.

Help appreciated.

Thanks,

Ab
