Category: win32 Group: None Status: Open Priority: 5 Submitted By: polarizer (polarizer) >Assigned to: Daniel Atallah (datallah) Summary: Win32 port : Hijacking Focus Initial Comment: Hi, This might/might not be considered a bug depending on how you look at it. Win32 Gaim has this really annoying habit of always stealing window focus and starting maximised. This drives me really batty :S e.g. -Gaim itself has no option of starting minimised -Gaim connections always involve a pop-up - network problems always lead to 2-3 popups - ICQ connect windows, a/c connecting windows and so on.. -Right clicking taskbar icon brings up menu, but can't be clicked out of, unless one of the options are chosen or one of the submenus entered.. Besides this, I am really enjoying the program. Thank you for all your work :) Cheers -K p.s this is winxp sp2 running Gaim 1.1.0 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Ant (itchysoft_ant) Date: 2004-12-31 08:21 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1186610 You could try installing the extprefs plugin which exposes some hidden preferences. One of these enables you to hide the buddylist on sign on. http://gaim-extprefs.sourceforge.net/ As for the context menus not disappearing unless you click on them, thats a GTK+ thing I believe. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Luke Schierer (lschiere) Date: 2004-12-27 08:54 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=28833 1) i can't duplicate this. 2)this will be improved in 2.0.0 when that is released. 3)this is a gtk bug. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=200235&aid=1091282&group_id=235 ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
