So, either Fontconfig is using iconv incorrectly or libiconv has a bug.  
>From the backtrace, there's no way to tell.  I can load Kochi Mincho here 
and get both an ascii and kanji name, so I'm afraid we'll need you to find 
out why it doesn't work in your environment.
