Your problem is with an F8 Dom0...the 2.6.29 kernel that will (hopefully) be in
F11 should sort out most of the paravirt problems, from what I can see.  I'm
not sure what the status of the code in EL5.3 is, maybe the RH people 
can comment.

I don't think your problem qualifies as "shafted".
