Then you are on your own to develop the appropriate changes to the install process and maintain them. Replacing glibc as part of make install is simply to difficult these days. Yes, it could work, but it will always be fragile and require enormous amounts of work to maintain. This operation is simply not supported anymore. Live with it. If you don't, your only viable option is to look at the glibc .spec file, and use it to build a custom RPM with the sources you want.
