I suppose that is what Ubuntu is doing, and they are choosing to move away from gnome shell, tho stay with gnome. How could this be done in Fedora anyway? Its one thing to stay the course and use gnome shell, its another to change it. Does the mechanism even exist ? Who could in fact change the default DE in Fedora ?
