So, first enable nm and configure your interface (DSL, I assume):
no, the modem is connecting through dsl to the isp, i'm on the dhcp side of the moon :)
Look at your nm config data (find your DSL interface ...):
Example for my eth0:
# less /etc/sysconfig/networking/devices/ifcfg-eth0
nothing special in ifcfg-eth0
...
BOOTPROTO=dhcp
DEFROUTE=yes
...
PEERROUTES=yes
...
# route -n
Kernel IP routing table
this gives no default route, unless i run dhclient by hand ...
so that's the problem, nm does not set the default route .
everything else seems to be ok: i have dns, and i can ping thw gateway.
You should have enuf to think about.
