A few days ago some others and I have problem to boot the laptop with battery on kernel 2.6.33.2-41 kernel. The recent 2.6.33.2-57 kernel fixed this problem. The full discussion can be found here :

However, this laptop saver kernel seems to disappear from the repository yesterday. I noticed that when perform fresh installation on my friend's laptop. Now his laptop has the exactly problem as I had a few days ago. But he can not get 2.6.33.2-57 kernel from the updates-testing repo. I tried to use my laptop (got 2.6.33-2-57 three days ago) to grab the rpm. No luck, the latest one in repo now is the buggy 2.6.33-41 one.
Probably there's something wrong with the updates pushing system. Hope it would be fixed soon and free the laptop user from AC power.
Kind regards,
Tommy He
