Also see my latest comment in https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=585006 where I found what appear to be Fedora 12 Alpha images with exactly the same behavior as above (all netinst and live images are oversized with the exception of Fedora-12-Alpha-ppc-netinst.iso which is the correct size). I'll post any further progress reports there, though it's unlikely that I can narrow it down any further.
