howto monitor a program creating links in /tmp?

Hi,

I have the following problem:

Each time, immediately after having logged in (gnome or xfce), I find links in /tmp:

lrwxrwxrwx 1 backes backes 20 Apr 23 10:46 4bd15e7f40cbc -> /etc/cups/ppd/kc.ppd lrwxrwxrwx 1 backes backes 23 Apr 23 10:46 4bd15e7f1b23f -> /etc/cups/ppd/e120n.ppd

kc and e120 are my printers.

The culprit *is not the print queue applet* - it has been switched off! - and not acroread (not started).

Anybody has an advice howto find out who is creating these links?

Kind regards
