Ignoring errors is a recipie for later problems. Also, there are more things in the base install that use mail (although they may not be currently requiring it). For example, mdmonitor and smartd both email error messages to root. If you don't want email to root, a better solution would be to set up something else to store such messages somewhere. Then there should be a desktop applet that can display the messages to the desktop user (or possibly only an admin user). mdmonitor and smartd can easily be changed, since they can be configured with a program instead of an email address. I don't know about cron. -- Chris Adams <cmadams@xxxxxxxxxx> Systems and Network Administrator - HiWAAY Internet Services I don't speak for anybody but myself - that's enough trouble. -- fedora-test-list mailing list fedora-test-list@xxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe: https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-test-list
