In the prevoius posts there are separate issues: I assume that you
refer to firewire for  Art's issues, don't you.

In my case I have reported here:

Bug 479525 -  Kernel .29 doesn't complete booting in Rawhide

Is this connected to firewire??? and can I blacklist any module???
