Hello, I'm using 9 also when I upgraded to the new kernel I kept the old one on so I could track it, or do a test. The other thing is do you know which mini-card is your machine, if so use a adapter card with the same card type and see if that card will bring up the network your near.Im on a lenovo 60 which uses atheros  AR5212 mini-card. The kernel problems may be a symptom of selinux doing its job. So again if you have a adapter that is also using atheros chipset if that will get back on. See yer!

Today I found an adverse effect obviously caused by this kernel failure: I can find no more wireless networks. Normally I have about 25 from my neighbours, but today I can find nary.

Nobody else with this problems?
My WLAN adapter:

02:02.0 Ethernet controller: Atheros Communications Inc. AR5212 802.11abg NIC (rev 01)
