Have you tried with newer kernel 

[root@riohigh2 ~]# uname -a
Linux riohigh2 2.6.27.5-101.fc10.i686 #1 SMP Wed Nov 12 00:50:43 EST 2008 i686 athlon i386 GNU/Linux
