As I said on the bug report, for me, alsa-plugin-pulseaudio breaks,
rather than fixes sound for me.  :)

It seems we're going to have a hard time finding a solution that works
for all of us. 

Again, as I stated in earlier posts here, I'm not sure that I would have
this problem if I used Gnome, but I use console and fluxbox.
