The bigger problem is that the OLPC power management support isn't in
the upstream kernel.
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=465284 is already
filed for tracking that

And FWIW, we're almost certainly not being very aggressive about power
management related things in Fedora 10.  Partially because the bits
aren't upstream, partially because we're exercising some parts of the
kernel that are definitely not "happy"[1]

have its share of problems
