XO power management

So I signed up for the XO power management team
(dyoung@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx). First thing I noticed is that none of the
pm-utils seem to do much unless HAL reports a system.chassis.type,
which the XO does not:

[root@localhost ~]# pm-suspend
error: libhal_device_get_property_type:
org.freedesktop.Hal.NoSuchProperty: No property system.chassis.type on
device with id /org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/computer
[root@localhost ~]# hal-get-property --udi
/org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/computer --key system.chassis.type
error: libhal_device_get_property_type:
org.freedesktop.Hal.NoSuchProperty: No property system.chassis.type on
device with id /org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/computer

I'm not sure what component to file the bug against. HAL?
