I think it is just displaying what was in the video memory before actually
drawing the new screen. I have been thinking about filing a security
related bug for this since it lets people see stuff from someone else's
session. In my case I see a corrupted copy of my background image after
a reboot before I have actually logged in, which shouldn't be happening.
The security risk is pretty low and modesetting has other issues, so I
have been taking a wait and see attitude on this particular bug.
