Not sure when it started. Last week, possibly? Works fine with f9.
Display only. Mouse movement changes monitor power, and I can blindly login.

For some time now I have been running with ati drv 6.8.0-21.fc10.i386 since the driver in combination with xorg-x11-drivers 7.3.8.fc10 is the only combination that gdm and xorg server works with. I cannot point to why as the x log file does not show any errors.

When the problem occurs, typically, gdm flashes the logon screen several times before giving up unless I keep the aforementioned configuration. After gdm gives up, I get a logon terminal and can see that x is still running. At this point I revert to the working configuration and continue with scratching my head. Kernel is up to date.

Suggestions anyone?

TIA
