Actually, I've noticed a similar problem with dual boot, that still doesn't work quite right: When F9-pre was first installed, it automatically detected and auto-mounted my NTFS partition (without an entry in fstab). I've updated all the packages since then, and now, it won't mount at all when I double click. Now, I assume an entry in fstab still works, and I have tested command line mounting, but the initial bug with automounting gave me the impression that I might be able to go to "Computer", right click on the partition listed there, and mount it in GNOME, which doesn't work. The right-click option is there, but it doesn't work (I assume because I have not specified the user-mountable option in fstab). Also, the partition has a CD icon, rather than a disk icon, for some reason, in GNOME.
Basically, the drive was initially being treated as an external drive and being automounted, but now it's properly being treated as an internal drive that is not specified to be mounted. However, the icon is still there in "Computer", as though it were an external drive (a CD drive, as far as the icon is concerned).
All this made me realize that it'd be nice to be able to have the right-click option to mount work (also double click) for other partitions on an internal drive, even if it asks for a root password.
