Aha. That would explain why I can't put "--noclear" on the mingetty
line in inittab to be able to read the error messages that, it
appears, upstart spews onto my screen *just before* starting the
login: prompts. The ones which appear to have "_init" in them, but I
can't read, because they disappear so fast.
Where would I edit the options for the terminal login process?
