in the same way a F9 upgraded from a F8 is not the same as a fresh F9
install :-) (of course in a minor degree).
And in my experience I switched from F7 to F8 by rawhide and
experience was not bad at all!!! But I agree with you.
Yes, I'm not suggesting that a upgrades don't work well, or that even rawhide
updated continually does not eventually work ok, but it is definitely not the
same end result as major version upgrades.
