shows a few files with problems in size and md5sum, and
/lib/libc-2.7.90.so is one of them.
Usually I see the later version coming back with no output. The earlier
version usually is highly missing files or for files that changed
timestamp or size.
Downloading the later rpm and using --replacepkgs and --replacefiles
with rpm sounds like it will overwrite all previous discrepancies and
put everything as it should be. It should also clean out the rubble from
the earlier package from the rpm database. As earlier mentioned
--replacefiles is debatable depending on your goal to preserve
customized changes.
