I have tried this kernel and it is booting for me.  Am
I really lucky (only on one of two machines)*

[olivares@localhost ~]$ uname -a
Linux localhost.localdomain 2.6.24-0.83.rc5.fc9 #1 SMP
Tue Dec 11 12:04:08 EST 2007 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
[olivares@localhost ~]$ cat /etc/fedora-release 
Fedora release 8.90 (Rawhide)
[olivares@localhost ~]$
