Greeter Application crashing

My Gnome runs fine, and my KDE used to, but now when I attempt to boot 
into KDE it goes into an endless loop of crashing and posting an error 
message explaining that "The greeter application is crashing, trying 
another"

Where can I get a new greeter application ?
