I tried the old mkinitrd (6.0.9-9) with now luck. Here's the short table of kernels I have and boot/don't boot: kernel-2.6.23-0.139.rc3.git10.fc8 BOOT kernel-2.6.23-0.142.rc3.git10.fc8 FAILS kernel-2.6.23-0.149.rc4.fc8 FAILS kernel-xen-2.6.21-2931.fc8 BOOT kernel-xen-2.6.21-2933.fc8 FAILS The fail message is: Reading all physical volumes. This may take a while... No volume groups found Volume group "VolGroup00" not found Unable to access resume device (/dev/VolGroup00/LogVol01) mount: could not find filesystem '/dev/root' setuproot: moving /dev failed: No such file or directory setuproot: error mounting /proc: No such file or directory setuproot: error mounting /sys: No such file or directory switchroot: mount failed: No such file or directory Is this known problem? Should I file a bugzilla? Do you need more info? Martin
