Look in Documentation/sound/alsa/ALSA-Configuration.txt for the list of
possible options.

(BTW I really wish the ALSA people would bundle up the fixes for the most
common problems and send them to -stable. There are hundreds of changes in
2.6.23 and it's really hard to figure out what to backport.)
