Or on my machine, hdg and hdh became dde and ddf which caught me out!

For some reason, my fstab doesn't have any entries for my DVDRW,
DVD/CDRW and DVD (formerly hdc, hdd, hdf - zip drive was hde4) - it's
been that long since I've looked at fstab, so should there be something
there or is it an on-the-fly attribution sort of thing?
