Err..., where?  That 'hd0' you are seeing has nothing to
do with /dev/hdX and it means simply "the lowest disk device as
reported by BIOS".  You may have specific device assignments
in grub/device.map but they should not matter at this moment,
I believe, until you will try to reinstall grub.  Then you better
create a new map file.
