If Tracker is a useful app for people then it should be in Extras
regardless of whether we have Beagle or not. There's plenty of people
who don't like various aspects of Beagle, but whom still want that kind
of functionality.

Exactly. Tracker is under review in https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=214025. Just tested it out. It is extremely fast but the filters atleast in the package provided is limited.
