I may regret suggesting this; but if comes down to it - could Red Hat
fork and maintain/enhance Mono from as it currently stands? That way,
any Microsoft-made contributions would not harm it or Fedora. 

Alas, I've become an avid proponent of both Tomboy and Beagle. I'd
really hate to have them suddenly removed without good reason. :|
