I'm not an expert, but it looks like you have identifier monitor1 and
identifier monitor1 in the xorg.conf in comment #1 of the bz. I think
they should be different. In both xcorg.confs try making the screen
number in the ati driver screen 0 and adjust the server layout
appropriately. I noticed that s-c-d assigned 1 to the first port of my
second physical radeon card on my rawhide system. After changing it to
screen 0, dual head worked. I have two cards with monitors attached to
screen 0 on each.
