I suspect that you are thinking about 
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=199014

If yes then this is not wrong reporting and an underlying cause
is now identified but the issue is still there.  A temporary
workaroud is to drop '-c' option to pidof in /etc/init.d/functions
although this may, or may not, have other unwanted side-effects;
depending on how and which processes you are running.
