You dont have to do that. You can exclude udev and initscripts using yum
and update the rest. Try
# yum --exclude=udev --exclude=totem\* update. Also see
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Tools/yum - tips and tricks section. Do
use bugzilla to report deps if you use that script.
