--------------------------------------------------------------------- Fedora Test Update Notification FEDORA-2005-648 2005-07-28 --------------------------------------------------------------------- Product : Fedora Core 4 Name : gimp Version : 2.2.8 Release : 0.fc4.2 Summary : The GNU Image Manipulation Program. Description : The GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program) is a powerful image composition and editing program, which can be extremely useful for creating logos and other graphics for webpages. The GIMP has many of the tools and filters you would expect to find in similar commercial offerings, and some interesting extras as well. The GIMP provides a large image manipulation toolbox, including channel operations and layers, effects, sub-pixel imaging and anti-aliasing, and conversions, all with multi-level undo. The GIMP includes a scripting facility, but many of the included scripts rely on fonts that we cannot distribute. The GIMP FTP site has a package of fonts that you can install by yourself, which includes all the fonts needed to run the included scripts. Some of the fonts have unusual licensing requirements; all the licenses are documented in the package. Get ftp://ftp.gimp.org/pub/gimp/fonts/freefonts-0.10.tar.gz and ftp://ftp.gimp.org/pub/gimp/fonts/sharefonts-0.10.tar.gz if you are so inclined. Alternatively, choose fonts which exist on your system before running the scripts. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Update Information: I plan to push this update final within a week from now. --------------------------------------------------------------------- * Thu Jul 28 2005 Nils Philippsen <nphilipp@xxxxxxxxxx> - fix gimptool manpage symlink * Mon Jul 25 2005 Nils Philippsen <nphilipp@xxxxxxxxxx> - 2.2.8 - version 2.2.8 - clean up file list generation a bit - gimptool manpage is in section 1 not 5 --------------------------------------------------------------------- This update can be downloaded from: http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/updates/testing/4/ 1d29c9b7a069aa8cf44d88216f676ea9 SRPMS/gimp-2.2.8-0.fc4.2.src.rpm 38e3fa86f6f8ca5c6e5f9ec0b425c8cd ppc/gimp-2.2.8-0.fc4.2.ppc.rpm e54c57f229d769c05ee836c35d6f9bdb ppc/gimp-devel-2.2.8-0.fc4.2.ppc.rpm 1310d0bd45937961a5356cc66fcb9b01 ppc/debug/gimp-debuginfo-2.2.8-0.fc4.2.ppc.rpm 47fc94a21238035b5762c03997669657 x86_64/gimp-2.2.8-0.fc4.2.x86_64.rpm 579155f0922962b5c8aeeb9abee859bf x86_64/gimp-devel-2.2.8-0.fc4.2.x86_64.rpm ff37face486886abac9a44e340b260a4 x86_64/debug/gimp-debuginfo-2.2.8-0.fc4.2.x86_64.rpm 8c33655559c0b9335ddeb382d19b7825 i386/gimp-2.2.8-0.fc4.2.i386.rpm 3e1373be89b0d6c3be336409d96ade9d i386/gimp-devel-2.2.8-0.fc4.2.i386.rpm 5d0ccf12ef2eaf8cbab745e8835e6f53 i386/debug/gimp-debuginfo-2.2.8-0.fc4.2.i386.rpm This update can also be installed with the Update Agent; you can launch the Update Agent with the 'up2date' command.
